Tony J. Bennett, age 67, of Jenison, joined his grandson, Lucas Elliot Van Sprange, in Heaven’s Glory on May 13, 2019.  Surviving are his devoted wife of 44 years, Barbara (Herrema) Bennett; sons, Joshua Bennett (Stephanie Hotz), Jeremiah Bennett (Brigid Taylor); brothers, Robert Bennett (Sandy Lauritzen), Gerald (Mary) Bennett, Dan (Laurie) Bennett, Joel Bennett; brothers-in-law, Steve (Pat) Herrema, Dave (Marguerite) Herrema; sisters-in-law, Sandra (Dan) Vander Jagt, Judy Zandstra (Carl Conrad), Mary (Larry) Molegraaf, Trudy Kresin, Karen (Don) Hampshire, Marlene Herrema.  Tony was preceded in death by his fifteen-year-old grandson, Lucas; brother, Tom Bennett; parents, Robert and Betty Bennett; parents-in-law, Steve and Betty Herrema. Tony “Big Kahuna” will be missed by every child who knew him. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 7 p.m. at Newhall Community Church, 3746 Byron Center Ave SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Dr. Dan Kroeze officiating.  Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, May 23, from 5-7 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
