Tony   Huizinga

Huizinga, Tony HUIZINGA:  Tony Huizinga, age 78, of Wyoming, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, May 28, 2012 and is now singing with the heavenly choir.  He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Frances; his children, Henry of Manchester, CT, Jack (Karen) of Wyoming, MI, Lynn (Linda) of Hudsonville, MI and Betty (Bill) Sanderson of Rockford, MI. Tony also had the joy of six grandchildren: Heather, Michael, Ellianne, Adam, Anika and Aliya. Also surviving are sister, Jane (Tony) TenHarmsel of Zeeland; brothers, Ben (Marijane) of Sheboygan, WI and Hank (Sandy) of Jenison, MI. Tony was a tool and die maker and a skilled woodworker who crafted many fine pieces of furniture and other items. He was dedicated to his church, Faith Community Christian Reformed, where he enjoyed singing in the choir, praise team and participating in Stephen’s Ministry. The family thanks the caring staff of Faith Hospice and all who have supported them with love, kindness, and prayers. A celebration of Tony’s home going to Heaven will be held 11 am on Friday at Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 5250 Byron Center SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Ken Havert and Rev. Roger Groenboom officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Potter’s House Christian School or the Christian Education Memorial Fund at Faith Community CRC.  Tony was a life-long supporter of Christian education.
