Tom DeVries

Tom DeVries, age 77, of Walker, went to be with His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 11, 2021. Tom was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time woodworking and being with his family. Tom was a Christian School teacher for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Bea DeVries. Tom will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn; children, Kirsten DeVries, Nate and Dawn DeVries, Joel and Connie DeVries, and Rebecca DeVries; 11 grandchildren; brothers; Ron and Jackie DeVries, James DeVries; and sister-in-law, Phyllis and Bob Brands. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday, April 15, from 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 16, 1:30 pm at Hope Protestant Reformed Church, 1580 Ferndale SW, Walker, 49534 with Rev. Jon Mahtani officiating. Burial River Bend Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hope Protestant Reformed Christian School.
