Timothy Didion

Timothy Patrick Didion, age 75, of Jenison, passed peacefully after a two-year battle with Leukemia on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Tim was a loving husband, dad, and Baba who was blessed with a great sense of humor and a quick wit who dearly loved his family. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Blessed with a strong work ethic, he retired from General Motors after over 30 years of dedicated employment. Tim was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing and hunting. He especially cherished the time spent out in the woods in Wisconsin with his brother, Mike, where many memories were made together. Many fond summer memories were also made up at Big Star Lake with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Lucille Didion; brother, Patrick Didion; sister, Bridget Didion; and his grandson, Wyatt Didion. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Peggy; his children, Brandon and Sarah Didion; Amanda Didion, Aaron Didion; daughter-in-law, Courtney Didion; grandchildren, Brooke, and Tyler Didion, Remington, and Madelyn Didion; brothers, Michael and Margaret Didion, David and Julie Didion; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Didion, Diane Chapel; several loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and many dear friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave SW, Grandville with Fr. Stephen Durkee officiating. Burial Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, November 14, 2022 from 5-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW where a rosary will be prayed at 7:30 pm. The family will also greet family and friends from 10-10:45 am prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
