On Monday, June 2, 2025, heaven gained a beautiful soul of Tillie Geers (Hoogland), aged 91, of Jenison, and is now home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, John; her grandson, Brian Blackmore; and brother, Cornie Hoogland. Tillie will be lovingly remembered by her children, Cal and Kathy Geers, Sue and Tom Blackmore; grandchildren, Bradley and Sarah Geers, Daniel and Jennifer Geers, Jared and Katie Geers, Lisa and Jeremy Johnson, Holly and Matt Hoevenaar; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty Moget, Pete and Carol Hoogland, Al and Lois Hoogland, Greta Bronsink, Harold Hoogland, Marvin and Bev Hoogland; and several other extended family members. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Cottonwood Church, 1101 Cypress Dr., Jenison, with Pastor Matt Palsrok officiating. Burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Monday from 10-11 am at church prior to the service.
