Thomas Dale Sterk, age 73, of Grandville, was called home peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, February 11, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Diane Sterk; and his brother, Donald Sterk. He will be dearly missed by his children, Anthony Sterk, Nikki and George Hoekstra, Tom Jr. and Nicki Sterk; his grandchildren, Aydon, Easton, and River Sterk, Brady Tiggleman, Sarah (Ian) Christensen, Kinley Snooks, Bryson Sterk; siblings, Gary and Karen Sterk, Karen Sterk, Doug and Terri Sterk; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 14, at 11 a.m. at Hanley Christian Reformed Church, O-372 Jackson, Grandville, with Rev. Joseph VandenAkker officiating. The burial will take place at Hanley Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday, February 13, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Jamestown) 2371 Riley St., Hudsonville, and Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Friends of Kibbuse Inc. which is the mission organization that Tom supported in Uganda.
