Thomas Rozema

Thomas Rozema, age 81, of Wyoming went home to be with his Lord Thursday, June 3, 2021, surrounded by his family. Tom was born in the Netherlands on May 24, 1940 to Ralph and Jane Rozema. He attended Hudsonville Christian School and graduated from Unity Christian High School. Tom was an avid fisherman and a wonderful fix-it man; an amazing husband, father, family man, Christian, and friend to many. He had a huge heart, always putting others ahead of his own needs and wishes, and never complained about anything. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Jane Rozema; sister, Grace Jager; brothers-in-law, Jerry Roon, Donald Jager. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 20 years, Yvonne; two daughters, Laura Eberstein, Linda (Steve) Luyk; two sons, Greg (Jodi) Rozema, Eric (Carrie) Rozema; stepchildren, Terri (Ron) Newman; Keith (Linda) Sova, Kris (Kathy) Sova; sisters, Gertrude (Hans) Bokhout, Jean Roon and special friend Bill Spaak; brother, John (Harriet) Rozema; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Home Acres Reformed Church, 21 Murray St SE, Kentwood, MI 49548 with Rev. Darrell Dalman officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-3 pm one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Home Acres Reformed Church.
