Tom is such a great guy, friend, dad and husband. He was husband father and friend everyone should strive to be. I feel very fortunate to have known him and share great memories. My heart breaks for his family. Step brothers will always remind me of you.

I was a classmate of Tom's and we graduated high school together but I haven't seen him in nearly 30 years. I remember a birthday party at his parents house when we were in grade school. I want to offer my condolences to his family and friends.

Laura is like a sister to me and when she married Tom I felt like I was getting another brother. We were two very different ends of the spectrum but we could still always have a laugh together, and sometimes a cry, like the day when Becca was born. I wasn't there when Emma or Anna came into the world but I'm sure his reaction was the same as that day, tears of overwhelming joy and amazement. Living so far away I don't get to spend as much time with the family as I would like but I've always been made to feel completely at home in their house and Tom always welcomed me, and later Melvyn and me, with generosity and kindness. Tom's passing leaves a great void in the life of his family and friends. Only our memories can help to fill this void, memories of the love and laughter and the genuine care Tom had for his loved ones. Laura, he loved you and the girls so so much. My heart breaks for you all, and Betty and Bob and Kurt and Mindy and all of the family on both sides of your marriage; I'm so sorry for your loss.

Tom and I only met a very few times in his too short life. He impressed me most by seeing his girls and how importantly he and they all exchanged words. Dad, Husband, and I know Son to his Parents. Respectfully, Most sincere sympathy for your loss.

Tom we haven't spent much time together but I consider myself lucky to have met you and got to know you and Laura a bit. We had a lot in common with the great out doors of Michigan and should have taken advantage of more time. May you rest in peace Tom.

I have known Tom for 30 years. We went on three bear hunts in Canada together and he has been part of our deer camp as well. I was there with his parents when he left for basic, I was there when he got married and now I am here at his passing. I will miss his wit and the help he gave me at my cottage. I always considered him my second son. Words cannot convey the grief I am feeling. It will be a long time before I am over this. My condolences to his family. Words are not enough. Good bye Tom, I loved you.
