Thomas “Tom” Lutke, age 83, of Byron Center, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 5, 2015. He was preceded in death by, Henrietta, his wife of 59 years; son-in-law, Jack Rotman. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Judy Rotman, Dan Lutke and his wife, Susan Boersma, Rick and Barb Lutke, Shelley and Bob Gay; grandchildren, Christie Rotman, Brian and Leah Rotman, Angela and Ryan Boomsma, Sarah Lutke; great granddaughter, Ella Boomsma; brother and sisters, Jennie Hoekstra, Jim Lutke, Loretta and John DeYoung, Wilma Johnson, Agnes and Jake Quist; step brother and sisters, Kaye Foster, Donna Scholten, Duane and Tikie Beerens, Vivian Reinink; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Hermina “Micky” and John Boogman, Lucille and Harold Born, Betty and Ted VanKalker, Marlin and Rina Baker; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Tom was a loyal employee of Michigan Consolidated Gas Company for 30 years. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting and fishing and watching God’s creatures. A memorial services will be held on Tuesday 11 AM at LaGrave Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 107 LaGrave Avenue SE with Rev. John Steigenga and Rev. Ruth Boven officiating. Interment will take place prior to the service at Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to LaGrave Avenue CRC Christian Education Fund.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked at Michcon with Tom he taught me to run the cherry picker. He will be missed, but now he is watching over everyone he left behind!

I have GREAT memories of camping and fishing with Tom and Henrietta. I also remember spending hours in "the shop" on Stafford Ave. with Tom and my Dad. He was a good friend and uncle and will be missed. With sympathie,
