Thomas L. Gorham

Thomas “Tom” L. Gorham, age 69, of Middleville passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 21, 2017, surrounded by his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Jeanette; son, Darren and Deb Gorham; daughter, Darleen and Tim Holland; granddaughters, Jenelle Twardosky, Brittany Gorham, Brylee Gorham, Samantha Holland, Ashley Holland; great grandchildren, Ethan and Journey Brown; brothers, Ken and Cindy Gorham, Jim and Wendy Gorham; sister, Ann and Brian McCarthy; and many nieces and nephews. Tom proudly served our country as a member of the United States Navy. A memorial service for Tom will be held 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Caledonia) 616 E. Main St. with Pastor Richard Taylor officiating. Interment Martiny Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

1. Dear Gorham family, please except my deepest condolences for the loss of your dear loved one Thomas. May Jehovah, the God of all comfort, (2Corintians 1:3,4) comfort you in your time of need. His word assures us at Isaiah 33:24 that one day there will be no more sickness and at Isaiah 25:8 and Revelation 21:4, that one day death will be no more. At John 5:28,29, Jesus himself said that there will be a resurrection of those loss in death. And Psalms 37:29 guarantees that they will live again on a cleansed earth. My deepest sympathy to the family. I've known Tom since childhood. I lived on Ludwig ( next street over) and Tom was in my father's Boy Scout troop. Tom and my brother Dave were the same age. I'm so sorry to read of his passing.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Gorham Family! I spent a few years of my childhood as neighbors to this family and now as an adult own the home they once lived in. Tom was thoughtful, nice and funny. He always seemed to have a smile on his face and a funny laugh, that's what I remember from when I was little.
