Thomas James Anderson

Thomas “Jim” Anderson, age 79, of Jenison, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ardie (Kloote). He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Beth and Dan Buning, Sue and Tim Hoving, Judy and Bob Alward; grandchildren, Hannah and Brent Zinn, Kinsey and Trace Deemter, Leah Buning,  Reka, Jenna, and Garrett Hoving, Jennifer and Justin Lameris, Ben, and Sam Alward; brothers, Don and Diane Anderson, Dick Anderson, Gary and Karen Anderson, Bob and Alexa Anderson; several nieces and nephews. Jim proudly served his country in the  U.S. Air Force. He retired from Steelcase and enjoyed spending winters at Live Oak R.V. park in Arcadia, Florida. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW with Rev. Don Van Slyke officiating. Inurnment Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Tuesday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Wings of Mercy.
