Thomas “Bo” Sherwood, age 65, of Grand Rapids, MI went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 6, 2022. Tom proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Bo came from a family of highly decorated war heroes and was extremely proud to carry on that tradition. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Katherine Sherwood; brother, Timothy Sherwood; sister-in-law, Kitty Sherwood; and nephew, Joseph Sherwood. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings; Daniel Sherwood, Steve (Joyce) Sherwood; nephew Benjamin (Kathleen) Sherwood; great-nephew, Daniel Sherwood; great-niece, Murna Sherwood. Bo proudly served as a Security Guard for Homeland Security, retiring after many years of service. He enjoyed learning, particularly about American wars and history. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11am at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave, Wyoming, with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating. Burial will be at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, June 17 from 10am until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to go towards funeral costs.
