Thomas E. Jensen

Thomas E. Jensen, age 70 of Ludington, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Lynn Jensen, father, Earl G. Jensen, parents-in-law, Oral C. Jr. and Maryjane Stratton and sister-in-law, Lori Jean Stratton. He will be greatly missed by his children, Matthew Charles, Michael Thomas and Rebecca Marie; grandchildren, Skylar Rene, Kaj Christian, Cheyenne Lyne, Cierra Lee; one great-grandson on the way, Daniel Matthew; mother, Dorothy Jensen; brothers and sister, Gary (Pat) Jensen, Robert (Sue) Jensen, Michael (Michelle) Jensen, Gregory Jensen, Kathy Jensen, Bruce (Donna) Genia; sisters-in-law, Judith (Robert) Stratton-Gutschke, Amy Marie (Jay) Stratton-Olejniczak; many nieces and nephews. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. Private burial will take place at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Gilda’s Club.

Tom, was an awesome person, husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all. He was a blessing to all who knew him, so very sorry for Rebecca, Matt, and Michael and the rest of Tom's family. Prayers, love and peace to all of you.

I worked with Tom at TAV for several years. He was a pleasant and fun man to work with. We joked around alot, but got our work done. I am grateful for the time I knew Tom. My condolences and sympathy go out to the family. May God bless all of you with peace & comfort as you mourn the loss of Tom. You are in my prayers. Bob Wasoski

Tom was the nicest guy I ever met. He always wanted to make sure my trumpet was working well and in great shape. Tom was always willing to help and play his part in the band. I will miss his smile and kindness always.

On June 30 Carla and I met Tom Jensen at Vitale's off West River Drive. He had fixed my Holton trumpet and refused to charge me anything so we arranged to buy him dinner. We had a great pizza pie and an excellent catch up time with Tommy. Then in Ludington on the Forth, I greeted Tom as he sat on the curb. "Hey, I have another trumpet for you" he says. "Found it online for next to nothing and I figured you could use a good backup horn." He left it with me at the Legion - a Conn Director Trumpet "Shooting Stars" model produced in Japan in 1971. Again, he refused compensation. I've been playing it at every Scottville Clown Band show since. Ask me to see it - I will be proud to show you. RIP Tommy!!!!
