Thomas Derezinski Sr.

DEREZINSKI - Thomas Chester Derezinski, Sr., passed peacefully in his home at 74 on Friday, 20 January after a fight with lung cancer. Tom was born on 27 October 1942 to Lillian and Chester Derezinski, Jr, in Grand Rapids. He lived in the area all his life, his final residence being Lowell, MI. Tom married Marcia (Jacobs) in 1961 and spent the latter 55 years of his life with her. Together they have four children: Kim Urbanski (Steve), Tom Derezinski, Jr, Elizabeth Tyler , and Stephen Derezinski (Christine). Tom is survived by his children; his sisters Joan Webster, Alice Donahue, and Phyllis Miknavich; and his grandchildren Jacob, Holly, Emily, Abby, Joshua, Zachary and Nicholas. Contributions in his memory may be made to Faith Hospice of Grand Rapids. A memorial service will be held in the spring.
