Thomas C. Vanden Bosch, age 69, of Jenison, passed away at his home on Thursday, March 23, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Aleda (Griffioen) Vanden Bosch. He retired from GM after 36 years of service and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and the Michigan Army National Guard. He will be remembered by his children, Thomas H. and Jennifer Vanden Bosch, Steven and Darsie Vanden Bosch, Penelope and Mark Young; grandchildren, Nicole Vanden Bosch, Nathan Vanden Bosch, Felisha and Mike Johnston, Mark Young Jr, Moses Young, Lauren Dunlop, Mallory Goff, Elizabeth Vanden Bosch; sisters, Barbara and Bernard Sytsma, Jacki and Billie Reed, Charlene Veenstra; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11 AM at Fellowship Christian Reformed Church, 4375 Ivanrest SW, Grandville, with Pastor Stan Sturing and Pastor Barb Sanders officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.

To the VandenBosch family, we extend our sympathy and prayers. We willmiss seeing your dad Sunday mornings at church. He told us often how he missed your mom, and now I am sure they are walking togeather in those large fields of flowers she told us about. We pray God will walk with you as you go thru the next few days and weeks ahead.
