BENEDICT - Mr. Thomas W. Benedict aged 84 of Caledonia passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Judy; sons, Brian (Kelly), Thomas (Tamie), Matthew, John (Shari) Benedict; daughters, Rosemary Benedict, Molly (Sean) Noonan, Christine (Todd) Allessio, Pauline Benedict; twenty one grandchildren; three great granddaughters and one great grandson; brothers, Arnold and Arthur (Gladys) Benedict; sister, Linnie Mae VanderWerp; several nieces and nephews. Thomas proudly served his country in the US Air Force. He was an usher and member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church for many years. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 101 Hall St. SE., with Rev. Theodore Kozlowski as celebrant. His family will greet relatives and friends Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave., with Prayers of the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. and one hour visitation prior to the mass at church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
