Thomas Anthony Willemsen Sr., age 71, of Wyoming, went to be with his Lord on Friday, October 2, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, James Jay Willemsen; mother, Edna (Al) Nielson; brother, Jim Willemsen. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Willemsen; children, Thomas Willemsen Jr., Michael (Ginger) Willemsen, Marvonne (Carlos) Morales; grandchildren, Vanessa Morales, Thomas Willemsen III, Shawna Willemsen, Kayleen Willemsen, Matthew Morales, Alyssa Willemsen, Cameron Willemsen; and sister, Lorraine (Richard) Greig. Funeral services will be held on Monday 11 AM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW with Fr. Don Weber officiating. Inurnment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 9:30-11:00 AM at the funeral home prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan.

Sending prayers to you and your family! Tom Sr. always, always went out of his way to engage you, make you smile, learn a little more about you... I only knew him for a short time, but I felt like he really cared about each person he met. What a genuine, happy soul. An example for us all.

Our deepest Sympathy goes out to all who knew Tom Sr. I myself had the privilege of working with Him at Gilson Graphics. Tom always had a Smile on his face no matter what. He was a kind and gentle Man and always would say Hello to you everyday. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing Him. Rest in Paradise Tom !!

I knew Tom Willemsen as a very GENTLE man.
