Theodore Milanowski

Theodore Raymond Milanowski, age 81, of Alto, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, March 12, 2020.  He proudly served in the U.S. National Guard, discharged with honors.  He worked as a barber his whole career, and ran Plainfield Barber Shop for 35 years.  He enjoyed farming, tractor pulls, and loved trips to the casino right up until the end.  He also enjoyed wine-making and being outdoors. Ted will be lovingly remembered by his children: Beth Hammond, Jason Milanowski, Amanda Dudley, Elizabeth Milanowski, and their mother, Nancy Milanowski; loving companion of 14 years, Lynne Stevens; grandchildren: Hope, Christopher, and Austin Gallant, Jeffery Bates, Jordan Jaunese; sister, Stella Hilaski; brothers: Stanley and Sharon Milanowski, Ed and Joan Milanowski; many nieces and nephews.  Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Josephine; brothers: Conrad and Victor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2020, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9669 Kraft SE, Caledonia, with Rev. Loc Trinh officiating. Burial St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main St. SE, Caledonia. A vigil will be held Sunday at the funeral home at 7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
