Theo Lewis Vredeveld

Theo Lewis Vredeveld, age 72, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 5, 2016 after a short struggle with cancer. Theo was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Esther Vredeveld. Theo is survived by his wife, Vija Vredeveld; daughter, Nicole and Bob Zuidema, son, Stephen and Stacie Vredeveld, daughter, Cynthia (Hallmark) and Melvin Sharp; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Sally and Bruce Koning, Rita and Olen Miller; brother-in-law, Andy Gudrups. Theo retired from ALTL after driving for them for over 40 years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 11 am at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Saturday from 10-11 am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Theo may be made to Faith Hospice.

Theo will be remembered loving from his ALTL family. A devoted professional that took his job each day to do the best he could. He was the backbone to this company, his contributions in those early years are the foundations that built this company. I trust he is sitting in heaven next to my father Anthony who was such a friend to Theo, and I trust they are sharing many memories. You will be missed.

I am sorry for your loss old friend. Theo and I never met but I love the picture. He has a hint of a smile that seems to say "I have a happy secret". I suspect it was his life with you.
