Thelma DeKraker

Thelma DeKraker, age 89, of Grandville, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 30, 2015. Waiting to greet her were her husband, William; daughter, Lavonne; son, Timothy; and two grandsons, William IV and Andrew. Left to cherish her memory are her children, William and Donna DeKraker, Delores Lanser, Katherine DeKraker, Debra DeKraker, and Jacqueline DeKraker; and her great grandson, David Vogt whom she loved and cared for. She leaves loving and great memories for 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Theodore and Geneva Lubbers, Donald and Joyce Lubbers; sister, Beatrice and Richard Martin; sisters-in-law, Francis Lubbers, Elizabeth Lubbers, Jennie Lubbers, and Ruth Lubbers; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 11 AM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW with Rev. Dale Fopma officiating. Interment will be held at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Sunday, August 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Monday from 10-11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Bikes for the Rest of Us at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital.

To Thelma's family, My condolences of your loss. Believe we will see her in heaven again. Hope that brings you some comfort. I will always remember and cherish Thelma's kindness to me while I was growing up. Our family enjoyed visiting her.
