Terry VanOrder

Terry Lee VanOrder, age 50, of Hudsonville, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, March 15, 2021. Terry fought and battled cancer for three years, with grace and strength each day. Terry was a loving husband and father, who befriended everyone and loved helping others. He especially liked spending time outdoors and spending time with his family. Terry enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, working on cars, and trail riding with his boys and going to Silver Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Betty VanOrder; and his father-in-law, Claire Lameyer. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years, Sherri VanOrder; children, Derek, Tyler, and Nick; brother, Todd and Jodi VanOrder; sister, Becky; mother-in-law, Marcia Lameyer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steve and Rhonda Lameyer, Deb and Chad Fridsma, Kim and Matt Bostelaar; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021, at 7 p.m. at Fellowship Reformed Church, 6610 36th Ave. Hudsonville, with Rev. Shawn Hulst officiating. The burial will take place at Forest Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
