Terry Marks

Terry Stephen Marks, age 74, of Gowen, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family on Friday, November 19, 2021. Terry was a kind and loving husband, dad, and grandpa who dearly loved his family. He was blessed with a servant’s heart and always put others before himself. Terry loved to be with people and possessed a positive spirit and a contagious, encouraging personality. He was very adventurous and enjoyed many things including boating, aviation, fishing, and the outdoors. Terry served his Lord with his time and talents in many ways as a pastor at Life Ministries. He retired from AT&T/Lucent Technologies after many years of faithful service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Dorothy Marks; and his brother, Roger Marks. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Marcia; children, Deanna Teitsma and fiancé, Matt Jurgensen, Stephen and Dawn Marks, Catherine and Joe Paladino; grandchildren, Lauren and Austin Cribley, Mandy, and Logan Teitsma, Ashton, and Dane Marks, Paris, Anthony, and Ava Paladino; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dr. Rebecca and Dr. Roger Markwald, Yvonne and Michael Holiday; sister-in-law, Barbara Lounds; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf, 6651 Scott St., Allendale. Burial at Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday from 10 a.m.-noon prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
