I worked with Suzanne for the entire length of my career at Metro. I am devastated and heart broken to only now hear of her passing. She was a light and gift to those who worked with her for the past 3 decades. She had a quirky little jump when she took portable X-rays in the ED and I always teased her a little about it. I was blessed to have worked along side her with Carlos, Laura and Tuan in the early years. She had an infectious smile and was a beautiful soul. She will be dearly missed. - David Ingram

In the early 1990s, I was fortunate enough to get a full time position at Metro Hospital after college, working alongside with Suzanne, Carlos, and Laura on the evening shift. We were in our twenties - full of confidence, ambition, energy, perhaps rather naive. Being one of greener staff - Suz was a mentor to me - a straight shooter yet very patient. It was insanely busy at times; we learned to rely and trust each other, becoming a great team. We worked hard and also played hard, often times patronizing the local watering hole after our shift ended. We grew to become not just co-workers but great friends. I decided to pursue a different career path and left, but we continued to stay in touch and updated on our lives - marriage, raising a family, promotions. We always picked up where we left without hesitation. I was lucky enough to know Suz - our friendship was exceptional - just as she had developed exceptional friendships with many before and after me. Suzanne’s close circle of friends and family are amazing. My heart grieves for the Kasper and Word family. 💔

A life gone way to soon in life. Suzanne lived her life, all away to the end. We had great times concerting together, with Randy, family, and friends. You will be missed by everyone, who knew you. Until we meet again. Rock on, with the best seat in the house.
