Susannah Lee Ten Hoor

Susannah Lee (Ackerman) Ten Hoor, 85, of Grand Rapids, MI went home to be with her Savior on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. Born on April 6, 1937 in Hope, MI she was the daughter of the late Wm. Clifford and Audrey Henry Ackerman. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Marion C. Ten Hoor, (Mick) of Grand Rapids, MI; son Steven M. TenHoor (Angelia), of Prosper, TX; grandchildren Kathryn J. Balch (Josh) of Noblesville, IN and Annabelle G. TenHoor of Prosper, TX. She is also survived by sister Elaine Chapman of Auburn, MI, brother-in-law Larry A. Lindsay of Potomac Falls, VA and many nieces and nephews. Susannah was born and raised in Hope Township, MI where she attended Hope Baptist Church. She graduated from Midland High School and attended Grand Rapids Baptist Bible College (now Cornerstone University). She then worked for a number of years at Square Real Estate, State Farm Insurance, and Spectrum Health. During their time in Grand Rapids Susannah (Sue) and Mick were members at Berean Baptist Church and attended West Cannon Baptist Church. Sue and Mick enjoyed traveling and outdoor activities together. In 1995, her family began to grow with the marriage of her son Steven to Angelia. She was blessed with her first grandchild Kathryn in 1998 followed by Annabelle in 2000. Susannah enjoyed visiting her grandchildren in Indiana and Texas for their school events and each and every birthday. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE Belmont, MI. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 22, 2022 at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tim Anderson officiating. Susannah will be interred at Blythefiled Memoryl Gardens. Her family offers many thanks to Faith Hospice specifically to Dr. Rouse, Katie Diemer, Sara Veldheer, Thea and Kayla who took such excellent care in Sue’s final days. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith Hospice.
