Susanna Fredricks

Susanna “Sue” Fredricks, age 96, entered into her eternal heavenly home on Wednesday, July 29, 2020. Sue was born on January 25, 1924, to Peter and Marie Cole. Sue graduated from Grand Rapids Central High School in 1942. After graduation, she began a career in the banking industry. On September 17, 1954, she married William (Bill) Fredricks. Sue was a longtime member of Plymouth Heights Christian Reformed Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Bill Fredricks; her parents, Peter and Marie Cole; and her brother, Peter Cole Jr. She is survived by her sons and daughter: Drs. Michael and Jacqui Fredricks of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, Barb Reed, Doug and Dan Fredricks all of Grand Rapids. The family will welcome visitors from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, August 3, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood. There will be a private family graveside service on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, officiated by Rev. Steve De Vries.
