Susan Potter

Susan M. Potter, age 78, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elman and Pauline Hull; and her sister, Nancy Simonis. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Lew; children, Kim and John Olinger, Bev and Larry TerBeek, Donna and Bryce Sheneman; grandchildren, Scott and Megan, Anissa, Katelyn, Allyson; great-grandchildren, Kenzie and Harper; three sisters; one brother; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday, April 6, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.

I think that one memory that I have of Aunt Susan, is when I was back in Michigan for another Aunt's funeral in April 2017, was when we went to the Red Lobster. She was the 1st one to clean her plate and wanted to eat more and try some of the food that we had ordered. Anissa graciously shared her meal with her. (She had not been eating very well and they were surprised on how much she ate). Her pain is over and she is at peace, even though the family is in sorrow. Take care family. Luv Miriam & Mike Herron
