Susan Lynn Kleinhuizen

Susan Lynn (Vanden Toorn) Kleinhuizen, age 72, of Kentwood, MI left her earthly life for her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 following a six-month battle with cancer. She was a wife, sister, aunt and friend who loved with all her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Virginia (Blish) Vanden Toorn. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ron “Oscar” Kleinhuizen; brothers: Rick and Cathy, Larry and Christine, Jamey, Gary and Dawn; step-mother, Jessica Vanden Toorn; uncle, Maurice and Evelyn Blish; many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed gardening, and puzzling with her friend, Lorri, but most of all, she enjoyed being an awesome aunt. Neighborhood children even called her Aunt Sue or Aunt TuTu. She was the definition of a caring aunt. Sue was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile was stunning and would light up the room. She cared so deeply for her brothers and their families. She was kind and compassionate toward others. She will be forever missed. Until we meet again! A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood. Relatives and friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home.
