Susan J. Walters

Susan J. Walters, age 96, of Grandville, joined her loving husband, William O. Walters, in God’s presence in their heavenly home on Sunday, March 4, 2018. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Donna (Gordy - deceased) Berends, Patricia and Frank Mileski; grandchildren, Laurie and Terry Sheler, Krista and Nick Oldebekking, Brad and Lindsey Berends, Matthew and Breanna Berends, Josh and Amy Berends, Emily and David Marker, Will Pichler, Ben and Alysa Pichler; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Susan’s family was her focus in life. She waited until her daughters were out of elementary school before entering the workforce as the secretary at their church. She spent the last six years in the compassionate care of Sunrise of Cascade. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March, 9, 2018  at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW with Pastor Jason Klepal officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. A private graveside service at Floral View Memorial Gardens has taken place.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan.
