Alvarez, Susan A. Susan A. Alvarez, age 81, of Jenison, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 12, 2012.  She was preceded in death by her son, Angelo “Mike”; granddaughter, Whitney; sisters, Rose and Gerri.  She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Enrique; their children, Debra and Charles Brock, Rebecka and Jesus Mata, Douglas and Miki Alvarez, Victoria Alvarez; daughter-in-law, Shelley Alvarez; 20 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Ciro “Sonny” and Sandy Mazzola; sisters, Mary and Sam Marchione, Grace and Hector Trevino; brothers-in-law,  Frank Sundstrom, Manuel Alvarez; several nieces and nephews.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, with Fr. Chris Rouech Celebrant.  Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive with a rosary service following visitation at 9pm. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St Pius X or Faith Hospice.
