Steven Allen Walton

Steven Walton, age 69, of Jenison, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Steve had a big heart and loved helping others. He enjoyed spending time on the lake fishing, and in the woods hunting. Steve proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donna Walton and Louis Walton; brothers, James Walton, Gary Walton; and aunt, Virginia Van Essen. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years, Susan; children, Kristy and David Siedlecki, Lindsey Walton, and Kathryn and Jordan Battjes; grandchildren; Taylor, Alexis, Cassidy, Olivia, Hayden, Adilyn, and Chase; sisters, Linda and Tim Steffens, and Debbie and David Selvius; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 3 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 2-3 pm prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project.
