Sturgis, Steve STURGIS:  Steve Sturgis, age 56, of Grandville, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlene and Donald Sturgis; brother-in-law, Ron Drake.  He was a faithful employee and manager for Valvoline Instant Oil Change for the past 18 years.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 35 years, Barb; his son, Arron Sturgis; daughter, Heather Sturgis; sister, Linda Drake; nephew, Randy (Jemi) Drake; niece, Paula (Tony) Forde; several more aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; many special friends.  Funeral services will be held 1 pm on Tuesday at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Hospice
