Stephen G. Slagter, age 66, of Casnovia (formerly of Grandville), went home to Jesus on Sunday, June 21, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his son, Robert; parents, Glenn and Eleanor Slagter; and brother, Scott Slagter.  Stephen will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Sandra; son, Paul and Angie Slagter; grandson, Allen; granddaughters, Emily, Josilyn, Rachael; great-grandson, Samuel; great-granddaughter, Paisley; and sister, Shirley and Cal Lohman. Stephen was a 1972 graduate of Grandville High School. He worked at Mulvihill Oldsmobile, and later was employed at the Grandville Dept. of Public Works until he retired.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 26, 11 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastors Dan VanBelvin and Jim Tol officiating.  Burial Floral View Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home, and on Friday one hour prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the needs of the family.
