Slenk (Yff), Patricia

Patricia Slenk (Yff), aged 85 of Grand Rapids, formerly of Holland, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 15, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Peter Yff in 1999, and Robert Slenk in 2011; two brothers; and two sisters. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Mary and Mike Smith, Kathleen and Richard Mead; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Matthew and Lindsay Smith (Ellie and Carter), Margaret Smith and Aaron Freehaffer (Ayrianna and Makynna), Martha and Jeff Wierenga (Pearl), Myya Mead, Conner Mead, Marshall and Joy Mead (Tristan and Ireland), Adam Mead (Brekkin), Moleigh and Lee Hardy. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Ruth Hamstra, Gloria Yff, and Elizabeth Gibson. Patricia was a loving, faithful, and devoted wife to her husbands and family. She and Peter “Pete” owned and operated Yff’s Food Farm in Holland for over 30 years. She was a devoted business partner and caregiver. Funeral services for Patricia will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 pm at Hillside Community Church, 1440 - 68th Street SE, Grand Rapids, with Rev. Daniel Bud officiating. Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Monday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood. Memorial contributions may be made to Unity Christian High School, South Christian High School, or Faith Hospice.
