Shirley Parsons

Shirley Ann Parsons, age 83, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 10, 2018 and was called to her heavenly home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L. Parsons; her son, Phillip Alvin Parsons; her grandson, Eric Scaturro; her sister, Nancy LaClaire; and her parents, Alvin and Grace Daining. Shirley was a loving mom, grandma and great-grandma. She had a zest for life and treasured her family and friends. Shirley was a longtime teacher’s aide at Kelloggsville Public Schools, retiring after many years of dedicated service. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Terri and Rick Mauchmar, Sherri and Randy Mencarelli, Vickie and Randy Lucchesi, Ronda and Joe Baxter; her grandchildren, Trina Mauchmar, Adam and Allison Mencarelli, Brent and Amy Mencarelli, Chad and Lea Shine, Brett and Autumn Shine, Aaron Scaturro, Mike Lucchesi, Kalene and Josh Schwartz; her great-grandchildren, Lindy Shine, Ruby Shine, Boston Schwartz, Riley Schwartz, Mason Lucchesi; her sister, Pat Collins; her brother-in-law, Bill LaClaire; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Don Van Slyke officiating.  Interment will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
