Shirley Moore

Shirley Moore, 86, of Jenison, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, and is finally at peace. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She cherished the time she spent with her family, traveling with her husband, and knitting for her grandchildren. Shirley loved watching football, especially watching the Detroit Lions. She also enjoyed watching the Oakland A’s. She was a proud member of the TBPA (Transatlantic Brides & Parents Association) since 1959 and the Grand Rapids Scottish Society. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 66 years, Eugene Moore; children, Greg and Melissa Moore, Theresa and Randy Marklevitz, Gary and Erin Moore; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Jenny and Derek Marsh; sister-in-law, Marsha Moore; and his nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Hager Park Church, 2635 Bauer Rd., Jenison, with Pastor Mark Kleinheksel officiating. Burial Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
