Shirley Idema

Shirley Jean (Laninga) Idema, age 87, of Grand Rapids, journeyed peacefully into the presence of Jesus her Savior on Monday, February 17, 2020.  She was a faithful member of Cottonwood Church. Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Carl Idema Jr.; grandson, Matthew VandeZande; brother, Roger G. Laninga; and a special friend, Edward Start.  She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Janice and John Gritter; sister-in-law, Karla Laninga; several nieces and nephews. Private services are being held at her church. The burial will take place at Winchester Cemetery.
