Shirley Harroun

HARROUN - Shirley A. Harroun, aged 81, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016. She was preceded in death by her great grandchild, Laena Harroun; parents, Earl and Gladys Ealy. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Roger; children, Ken (Wanda Danley) Harroun, Jim (Renee) Harroun, Cherie (Randy) Johnson; grandchildren, Christine (Joe) Chapin, Steven Harroun, Michael (Rebecca) Harroun, Adam Harroun, Jamie Harroun, Jacob Johnson, Matthew Johnson; great grandchildren, Teney, James, Alex; brothers, Ray (Martha) Ealy and Bob (Peggy) Ealy. Shirley retired from Meijer as a cashier after 24 years of service. Shirley was a great cook and loved to bake pies and chocolate chip cookies. She enjoyed caring for her family. She loved to garden, tend to her flowers and knit. Shirley also loved to go fishing and boat rides on the lake. A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Bostwick Lake Congregational Church, 7979 Belding Rd NE, Rockford. Her family will greet relatives and friends 2 to 4PM and 6 to 8PM on Monday, July 18, at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont and one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday.
