Shirley Fay McKey

McKey, Shirley Fay Shirley Fay McKey, age 84, of Grand Rapids, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 10, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G. McKey and her son, Thomas D. McKey. She will be lovingly remembered by her family, Elaine and Scott Overlund along with her grandchildren, Kacey and Jackson Overlund; sister-in-law, Floree McKey; nephew, Ron and Susan McKey and their children, Morgan and Nick; cousin, Sharon Hilton. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 17 at 3:30 pm at Clark Retirement Community Chapel, 1551 Franklin St. SE, Grand Rapids. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Senior Meals on Wheels.

Both my sister Joan and I remember the summer we watched you and your brother at your lake home; we had so much fun with you both. We have fond memories of your family. Shirley was our next door neighbor for 5 years while she lived in her Keller Lake Towne Home. A better neighbor one could not have. She shared home made blueberry bread she baked and a special trail mix she made at Christmas. She liked to walk around Keller Lake and she had shoes for all occasions which were lined up at her door ready to step out. She adored her grandchildren and telling us about their many accomplishments. We will miss her. Nancy and Phil Palmer
