Shirley Allan

Shirley B. Allan, age 88, of Grandville, was called home by her Heavenly Father on Friday, February 24, 2023. Daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy Fischer, she was born March 18, 1934. Shirley met Bob at College they dated, fell in love and were married December 26, 1953. Shirley worked for the State of Michigan for many years before retiring. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for many years. Shirley enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafting, quilting but most importantly spending time with her grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 69 years, Robert W. Allan; children, Douglas Allan, Scott Allan, Cheryl (Mark) Fredrickson; grandchildren, Kayle, Jenna, Ben Fredrickson, Crystal, Robert III, Hunter Allan; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday March 3, 2023 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1481 Baldwin St. Jenison with Pastor Brian West officiating. Burial will be at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock, MI. Relatives and friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church.
