Shirley Ann Thurkettle, age 84, of Grandville, went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 3, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James, two sons, Randy and Michael; son-in-law Steve Albin; great-granddaughter, Zara Loung; two brothers, Ken and Lloyd; two sisters, Joyce and Carol; and brother-in-law, Don Knutsen.  Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her children, Rob and Joni Thurkettle, Vickie Albin and Scott Barrett, Rick and Peg Thurkettle, Ronnie and Wendy Thurkettle, Roger Thurkettle; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Theola, Donna, Pat, Marilyn, Lorraine; sister-in-law, Shirley Knutsen; many nieces and nephews; and her fur baby, Lucky T.  Shirley loved her family more than anything.  A private graveside service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery with Fr. Chris Rouech officiating.  A service to celebrate Shirley’s life will be held at a later date.
