Sheri M. Cook

Sheri M. Cook, age 69, of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 25, 2021, after a 10 year hard-fought battle with various health issues. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christina; father and mother, Robert and Phyllis Bosma. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, Morey; children, Brian and Julie Cook, Aimee and Roger Wiersma, Chris and Sara Cook; grandchildren, Codi, Skye, Brennan, Hunter, and Keilyn; and her dog, Maggie. Sheri enjoyed visiting Grand Haven, making cakes, and she loved spending time with her family. She retired from Godwin Public Schools after more than 25 years of service. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Pastor Melody Olin officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 9:30-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to a hospice of your choice.

My sincere condolences to Morey and family upon the loss of your beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Sheri and I were best friends in our junior year at Godwin. I remember well when she started dating Morey and eventually married him before he left for Vietnam. Sheri and Morey also visited us in Virginia and once, I believe in 2001. Sheri was such a king a loving person, and so much FUN! Always smiling and always giving. She so loved Morey and her kids (and later grandkids) and enjoyed life. My heart grieves with you over this terrible loss. I’m so very sorry.

My kids have known Mrs Sheri cook for a long time when they went to North Godwin elementary school she was the sweetest most caring lady they ever met. My kids really liked her alot rest in heaven Mrs cook our sincere condolences to the family she will be missed the Payne family

Extending sympathy to the whole family. It was my privilege to work with Sheri at Godwin for many years. She was a stable, supportive, mentor to many of our students. Always a smile and often bringing yummy treats! Was also privileged to have Chris in my Young Fives class (many, many) years ago and had the opportunity to know Sheri as a Mom! He was her baby! She loved her family with a vengeance! She was greatly loved and will be missed!

Marey and Family, I am a niece to Judy and Jerry Anderson . And daughter of Helen Trafzer Judy's sister. I have seen many a cake Sherri has made for family events. She was such a happy person and is a good friend to my Aunt Judy. I so appreciated all the flowers for all our families funerals. Sheri was so thoughtful. I know these are now sad times, but notice little events that are signs of Sherri watching over you. Please give my empathy to all of those in your Family of kin and of Friends! Paula Thompson

Sheri & I worked together at Godwin. Her smile, her laughter, her presence brightened everyday. I am so saddened to learn of her passing but happy to know she has joined the community of saints watching & protecting us. Heaven has gained one beautiful Angel!!! I extend hugs to the family … know she remains with you! Look for the signs. It could be a song, a flower, a bird, an expression, a sweet treat like will those wonderful Christmas gingerbread cookies!!!! Sheri is there!!! Linda
