Sheila Mae Potgeter

Potgeter, Sheila Mae Sheila Mae Potgeter, age 56, of Zeeland, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 11, 2014 following an extended battle with cancer.  She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 34 years, Michael; sons, Greg (Rebekah), Kurt, Steve (Jodi), Jared (Heather); parents, Al and Mae Eaton; parents-in-law, Ken and Shirley Potgeter; grandchildren, Benjamin, Luke, Simon, Kaylee, Lucy and one grandchild on the way; brother, Dennis (Kim) Eaton; sisters, Sharon (Jack) Osswaarde, Amy (Brian) McMurray, Robin (Mark) Twiest; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joe (Laura) Potgeter, Kris (Brad) Gorney; many nieces and nephews.  Sheila was well known for her cooking and baking abilities, but more importantly, for her love of God, family, friends and her servant’s heart.  She loved to entertain and serve others even to the point of remodeling her home to accommodate large gatherings.  Funeral services will be held Monday 11 am at Robinson Baptist Church, 12011 120th Ave, Grand Haven with Rev. Tim Kitchen officiating.  Interment Allendale Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf (corner of Avery and Scott) 6651 Scott St., Allendale and Monday from 10-11am at church prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Sheila Potgeter Treatment Fund c/o PNC Bank.
