Sara Steketee

STEKETEE - Sara Jane Steketee, aged 90, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 24, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank (Fritz) W. Steketee; her parents, John and Kate Rielag; brother and sister in-law Jack and Marg Rielag. Surviving is her daughter, Judy (David) Gorman; grandchildren, Stephen (Stefanie) Gorman, Heather (Chad) Coyle, Christopher (Melissa) Gorman, Alicia (Troy) Ziel; great grandchildren, Tayler, Ashley, Faith, Hope, Ellie, Jenna, Sam, Kate, Jessie, Tupper, Fletcher, Rowan, Harper and Marley. Sara Jane retired from Wolverine Brass Works, then owned and operated Balloons or Bust in Ada, MI for over 30 years. Reflecting her great love for animals Sara was on the board of C Snip and Kent County Humane Society, where she served as treasurer. A celebration of life for Sara will be held at 4pm, Thursday, December 1st at St. Roberts of Newminster Catholic Church,in the Marion Chapel 6711 Ada Dr. SE, Ada, MI. A reception will follow with light refreshments. The family will greet relatives and friends an hour prior to the service at the church. Sara will be laid to rest at Graceland Mausoleum.
