Sara and I worked together for awhile at deReuze. I always wanted to work with her because she was so much fun, and she was a really hard worker. Her laugh and her spunky attitude were contagious. I liked being around her. If no one was in the store, she would often look around for little treats to buy for her son. I am very saddened by her death. My thoughts are with her family and dear friends. Emily Hamstra, Ann Arbor, MI

We would like to express our condolences to the Dreyer family, especially Sara's son Allen. Although we did not know Sara personally, we have heard many stories about her and Allen from Dave.He was very proud of his family. We are glad that you have a very close and loving family to help you through this sad and difficult time. Dave's friends and coworkers from Gentex

I got to know Sarah though my soda hobby at the Marathon, she was always so funny and good-natured. When I would come in with my eight year old, Sarah would give her special attention. What a fun and great lady, Sarah you always brightened my day. Jim Miars and family

We are so very sorry to hear about this, you are all in our prayers. Sara was always smiling! She could write the book on Customer Service, she was excellent at it!! Every time I was at Marathon with my kids, even if she wasn't my cashier, she'd still say Hi & ask how our day was going. She was a genuinely nice person & will be missed by many. Our hearts go out to you in your time of sorrow. Cliff & Linda Cowdin

I visited Sara at the gas station. She was always so cheerful, and her joy was contagious. I missed seeing her when I stopped there today and learned of her passing. May you feel her love and smile surround you in this difficult time. Janel

ALWAYS enjoyed seeing Sara and getting to know her and Allan on a more closer level. Was so wishing that we could spend more time together again! She was an "easy to love" person, smiling with her eyes and always "upbeat"! Allan is a truly lucky son to have had her for a mom and the closeness and dedicaton she showed him will for sure be always with him. The woman she became is the result of a wonderful upbringing..........a family to be proud of! We also will miss her!! Tom and Diana Bobbett

I will always miss you telling me to smile even when I don't want to. We have been friends for many many years, also a lot of fun times. Prayers going out for your son whom you raised well and also the rest of your family. Love, Amanda Townes-Droughn Mandy
