Sandra Vanderveer

VANDERVEER - Mrs. Sandra "Sandy" Vanderveer aged 65 passed away Friday April 5, 2013. She was preceded in death by her father, Alex Banas; her father-in-law, Fredric Vanderveer. Surviving are her husband, Ross; sons, John (Mary) Andringa, Ross J. (Olivia Mwakanandi) Vanderveer; grandsons, Sebastian and Alex Andringa; mother, Josephine Banas; sisters, Joanne (John) McGowen, Barb (Dave) Henshaw; mother-in-law, Corinne Vanderveer; sisters-in-law, Roxanne (Brian Cox) Vanderveer, Jayne (Ron) Lindblom; several nieces. Sandy was a devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed outdoor family activities, camping, bonfires, watching movies, playing slot machines, shopping for jewelery, antiques and collectables. She had a smile that would light up a room and an infectious giggle. Sandy formerly worked for the City of Wyoming Building Inspections and Planning Department. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Aberdeen Reformed Church, 1000 Aberdeen St. NE. Her family will greet relatives and friends Tuesday from 6 to 8PM at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave., and one hour prior to the service at Church.
