I met Sandra back in freshman year, in Grandville high school. She was the first person I ran into that was so loving and so supportive, that walked me to classes, showing me my way around the high school, and most importantly always had a joyful smile on her face. She was so kind and I always appreciated her for that. One year, I had spanish class with her, and sat by her whenever we didn’t have assigned seats, she was my not only a really wonderful friend, she was also my partner for most activities or worksheets that were handed out in class. She was so smart, I admired everything about her. Soon after knowing her for a little bit from school, she had came over a couple times to hangout with my family and I. My family always loved having Sandra around. My mom would always ask about her, as well as my dad, and my little sister. She even met my grandma once before my grandma past, and my grandma loved her as well. I will never forget the memories, especially when we went to the dance together and a few couple of others. (I have a photo of us framed on my dresser). I always loved her existence, and I always will have a place of remembrance of her in my heart that will never be forgotten. To her family: I’m sorry for your loss, and I’m continuing sending prayers for the loved ones and family members who made Sandra the way she was, a beautiful, loving, strong, and kind woman. ~ Lily Perez

I was the civilian in the very first office Sandra worked for at Tinker Air Force Base. There was not one day that passed that I didn’t realize what an incredible blessing she was to me. She was always there if I needed help she made me laugh she always made me smile not only to me that to everybody she met there. The world was a better place because she was in it.

I first met Sandra when she started working with me in the ID card section at Tinker Air Force Base. I am much older than her, but I felt this immediate connection with her and I immediately thought she was the brightest, most friendly, and most outgoing person I had ever met! I remember we used to sit in my cubicle and she would talk about all the things she had planned for her life and to someday have children with her Fiancé Brandon. I feel a deep grief that I can never see those things happen for her. I’m also so upset that I never had the pleasure of hearing her sing. I loved and adored her and this is so heartbreaking as she was too young to leave this world. One comfort is knowing, however, that she is with our Heavenly Father smiling down on all of us and is no longer in pain. My condolences to her family. With love….

When I first met Sandra, we had just become roommates in a new training squadron at tech school. The first weekend we were there, she had an idea of watching scary movies and snacking. She made me feel like I was living with a sister immediately. Her brilliant mind, bright smiles, and kind soul had created a training experience I will never forget. There are so many words anyone can say when knowing Sandra, but one word that I believe fits her the most is winsome. Because inside and out, her character, all of her was beautiful. There are not enough words for me to explain how heavy my heart is to see this happen. She will surely be missed.

We never met Sandra, but knew her dad Derek and his family as they were like an extension of our family. We’re so sorry to hear of Sandra’s passing, and out hearts go out to her loved ones.

Sorry for your loss. I remember meeting your daughter and seeing a video of her singing when I came to your home to see my cats when they were kittens. Your daughter sat on your kitchen floor with us while I visited. Prayers to you and your family.
