Sandra Kay Opatik

Sandra Kay Opatik, age 76, of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 13, 2021 surrounded by her family. Sandra was born on June 6, 1945 to Mary and Don Ross in Grand Rapids, MI. She immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Sandra graduated from Lee High School. She had two wonderful boys prior to meeting the love of her life, Randy Opatik. She was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Opatik; her parents and her grandson, Hayden Carlson. She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, James Carlson and Amy Packard, Corey and Brittany Carlson; grandchildren, Delaney 25, Tyler 22, McLain 20, Bailey 17, Logan 15, Katie 11, and Eleanor 2. She is also survived by her siblings, many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins along with many special friends. A Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Friday, September 17, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 1630 Godfrey SW, Wyoming with Rev. Stephen Dudek. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
