Sandra Kay McPhillips, age 84, of Grand Rapids passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Mary Ann Barrett; sister, Arlene Renshaw. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Lawrence; four children, Theresa and Thomas Barry of Julian North Carolina, William and Lora McPhillips of Oconomowoc Wisconsin, Lawrence and Raachel McPhillips, Laura and Gerald Campbell of Wyoming Michigan; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who enjoyed many things; beaches, lighthouses, cooking, and making ceramics to name a few. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am Tuesday, October 11 at St. Alphonsus Church, 224 Carrier Street NE, Grand Rapids, with Rev. Chung Tran officiating. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Avenue SW, Wyoming, with a rosary at 7:30 pm. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to God's Kitchen Baby Pantry.
