Sandra Ann Idema (Tompkins), age 82, of Jenison, was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, July 22, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; daughter, Trista Idema; parents, Harry and Marie Tompkins; her sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Chad Hapner; brother-in-law, Carl Jones; sister-in-law, Lee Idema; nephew, Steven Idema. Sandy will be lovingly remembered by her son, Ron Jr. Idema; grandchildren, Brittany (Brandon), Mariah, Trent, and Lance; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Cindi (Gary) Ruppert; sister-in-law, Marilyn Jones; brother-in-law, Warren Idema; several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sandy was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and sister who was blessed with a servant’s heart. She volunteered her time in many ways to benefit and help others. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021, 11 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Harvey Heneveld officiating. Burial Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 9:30 -11 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to an organization of one’s choice.
