Sammy Lee Walker

Sammy Lee Walker, age 74, of Wyoming, received his wings on Tuesday, July 7, 2020. Sammy was a lifelong resident of Grand Rapids and worked for many years at Bell Fiber/Pratt Industries.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, football, bowling, and was a big sports fan, especially the Minnesota Vikings. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; and his parents, Samson and Lee Walker.  He will be dearly missed by many.  Sammy is survived by his children, Michelle (Tim Pringle) Mondy-Pringle, Robert (Karen) Steib, and Sammy Lee Walker Jr.; grandchildren, Tim, and Alicia Pringle, Marcus (Joy) Steib, Janelle (Dominique) Adkins, Sammy, Anthony, and Jonathan Walker; great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Holly Holt of Virginia, William (Marie) Walker, Byron Walker, Wendell Walker, Donna (Curtis) Howland, Tena Walker; many nieces and nephews and cousins.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday, July 11, 2020, from 10 a.m. to noon at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  You may view the visitation on the funeral home website after 5 p.m. on Saturday.
